Stables for the Interregnum

During the English Interregnum, Ely Cathedral was repurposed into stables for cavalry horses. This project intends to explore the nature of reuse, both in physical resistance to decay and through ability to adapt to changing societal demands.  To be in an interregnum is to be in a state of being between rulers, between purposes. With the future occupants being undefined and unknowable, the structure stands in a constant state of interregnum.
